id Software's idTech 7 is the best-optimized AAA engine on handhelds. The base Z1 holds ~58FPS at 1080p Low in 25W Turbo - no upscaling needed. Drop to 15W Performance for battery and you still get a playable ~33FPS. One of the few demanding shooters that feels great on the 4-CU Z1.

Notes
idTech 7 scales superbly to low-end GPUs. Community Z1 (non-Extreme) gameplay tests show ~58FPS average at 1080p Low in 25W Turbo and ~33FPS at 15W Performance - close to GamersNexus's ~30FPS steady-state figure at the throttled battery preset. No upscaling required at 1080p Low, but you can enable the in-game resolution scaling toward 720p to push past 60 at lower wattage. Keep textures at Medium (the Z1 has the VRAM bandwidth) and leave Ray Tracing OFF.
