One of the best-optimized racers on PC. An RTX 4060 cruises at 1440p with a High/Ultra mix well above 60FPS, and 1080p is effortless. The preset slider already applies sensible per-setting values, so only a couple of tweaks (shadows, MSAA) are needed for a locked high frame rate.

Notes
Digital Trends / PCGamesN: Forza Horizon 5 is exceptionally well-optimized. RTX 4060 runs 1440p smoothly with a High preset and 1080p effortlessly. The preset slider already mixes per-setting values sensibly, so just trim MSAA (very expensive - use 2x or the FXAA/TAA path) and keep Shadow Quality at High not Extreme. No upscaling required at 1440p for 60+, but DLSS/FSR are available for high-refresh or 4K. The built-in benchmark is accurate - use it to validate changes.
