Built on idTech with always-on ray tracing - an efficient engine but heavily VRAM-bound (designed around 12GB). The RTX 4070's 12GB is a good target. With Digital Foundry's optimized settings + DLSS Quality at 1440p it runs ~70-90FPS. Full Ray Tracing (path tracing) is a separate, far heavier mode for RTX 4080+.

Notes
The game requires RT hardware (RT is always on) and is built around 12GB VRAM - the settings that matter most are the memory-bound ones (texture pool size). Digital Foundry's optimized config keeps the texture pool within your VRAM budget and uses DLSS Quality. On RTX 4070 @ 1440p that's ~70-90FPS. 'Full Ray Tracing' = path tracing and is hugely demanding (RTX 4080+ with Frame Gen only). idTech is efficient, so once VRAM fits, frame rates are high and stutter-free.Hardware
