Elden Ring — Limgrave Complete Exploration Guide

Limgrave is the starting region of Elden Ring. It contains everything a new Tarnished needs to build a strong foundation before tackling Stormveil Castle.

Points of Grace

Activate every Site of Grace you find — they provide fast travel and respawn points. The key Graces in Limgrave:

The First Step — Starting Grace, south coast.
Gatefront Ruins — Gives you the map for West Limgrave.
Agheel Lake North — Hub for the central lake area.
Murkwater Coast — Access to Murkwater Cave and Patches.
Seaside Ruins — Coastal area with the Dragon Agheel fight.
Stormhill Shack — NPC: Roderika (Spirit Tuner questline).
Limgrave Tunnels — Smithing Stone [1] farming.

Essential Early Items

Weapons

Bloodhound's Fang — Forlorn Hound Evergaol (south of Agheel Lake). Requires defeating Bloodhound Knight Darriwil. Strong curved greatsword with bleed.
Reduvia — Murkwater Cave (defeat Bloody Finger Nerijus on the way). Best early bleed dagger.
Twinblade — Dragon-Burnt Ruins (south of Agheel Lake, submerged room). Dual-wielding fun.

Ashes of War

Ash of War: Storm Blade — Near Warmaster's Shack. Excellent projectile AoW.
Ash of War: Stamp (Sweep) — Knight patrol on road to Stormveil. Good for UGS/Greataxe.

Talismans

Green Turtle Talisman — Summonwater Village underground, illusory wall. Massive stamina regen boost.
Erdtree's Favor — Fringefolk Hero's Grave (requires 2 Stonesword Keys). Boosts HP/stamina/equip load.

Dragon Agheel — Optional Field Boss

The lake's most visible challenge. At level 25–35, he's manageable.

Strategy: Stay mounted on Torrent. Circle around his hindquarters — his wing attacks don't reach there. When he breathes fire, ride away. The fire breath does stop in a fixed direction, so reposition to his side.

Reward: Dragon Heart (used at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion for dragon incantations).

Progression Route

Activate Gatefront Ruins Grace, grab West Limgrave map.
Upgrade to +3 weapon at Gatefront anvil (Smithing Stones from Limgrave Tunnels).
Clear side dungeons for resources.
Defeat Bloodhound Knight Darriwil for Bloodhound's Fang.
Collect Stonesword Keys (find at: Stormhill Shack reward, merchant near Warmaster's Shack).
Use one key for Fringefolk Hero's Grave (Erdtree's Favor talisman).
Head to Stormveil Castle when at level 35+.
