A rare case where the base Z1 ties the Z1 Extreme. GamersNexus found BG3 to be CPU-limited at 1080p Low (Vulkan + FSR 1.0 Quality), so the base Z1's weaker GPU doesn't hold it back - both chips land around 30FPS. Act 3's Lower City still drops into the mid-20s on either model.

Notes
GamersNexus noted BG3 (Vulkan) is the one game where the base Z1 ties the Z1 Extreme - it's CPU-bound, not GPU-bound, so the Extreme's extra 8 CUs don't help. Use the Vulkan renderer (not DX11) + FSR 1.0 Quality at 1080p Low for the best result GN saw. The base Z1's 6-core Zen 4 is the limiter, so a 30FPS cap is the realistic target. Act 3 / Lower City drops to the mid-20s regardless - lower Crowd Density and Cloud Quality there to claw back frames.Hardware
