An honest 'not recommended' entry. Dragon's Dogma 2 is severely CPU-bound and even the Z1 Extreme struggles to hold 30; the base Z1 sits around 20-25FPS in towns regardless of graphics settings. Lowering the resolution barely helps because the bottleneck is the CPU/NPC simulation, not the GPU. Wait for a stronger handheld.

Notes
Multiple reviewers conclude the ROG Ally 'cannot handle' Dragon's Dogma 2 well - it's one of 2024's most CPU-bound games. The base Z1's 6-core Zen 4 is the hard limiter, so towns (Vernworth) drop to ~18-22FPS no matter how low you set graphics or resolution. Use 720p Low + FSR and the community Frame Gen mod to make it feel less choppy, but expect a sub-30 experience. Included here for completeness/honesty rather than as a recommendation.
